I’m taking part in Canteen’s Bandanna Day this year by selling bandannas to support young people when cancer crashes into their world.

Canteen is the game changer. They help young people cope with cancer in their family, rebuild their foundations and connect with others in the same boat.

Please help me to reach my goal and together we can take a stand for young people affected by cancer.

Oh my god! Yesterday was such an incredible fundraising day with Pillow Talk's help and most of all with your incredibly generous donations we raised nearly 500 dollars yesterday! Your support has just blown my mind and I'm so grateful! Let's keep up the amazing work, only $35 until I reach my goal and with 2 weeks until Bandanna Day, I'm sure to be upping that target. 

My Story

Sunday 1st Oct
When I was 17 my dad was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. My world completely changed and I withdrew into myself unsure of how to be the person I was before. Canteen helped me to connect again and make friends after my dad died. It really helped to be around people who knew what I had gone through and weren't going to treat me differently because of it. That acceptance and connection I found helped me not only with building relationships with other Canteen members but with other people in my life too. Canteen has done so much for me and I want to help to give back in any way I can. I also want to share my story so that other people who need Canteen can find it.
In the lead-up to Bandanna Day, I am selling bandannas and sharing my story so that Canteen can continue to support people like me.
